Things will never be the way they used to. Empty space and anxiety, but we humans can cope with far more than we believe. Our ability to heal and restore will renew order and form, and ultimately nothing will be lost, though neither will anything be the way it was. Human weaknesses and underlying defence mechanisms often recur as a theme in my work. I have an open attitude to methods and materials. I find my way to new techniques, combinations and approaches, but simultaneously always strongly rooted to the past. The human body is my workplace, and I want the outside to reflect a representation of an inner world. Concepts, samples of material and sketches, 2008 |
