During my degree project, I have chosen to explore whether I can change perceptions of a product by giving it a new design and expression. I have made a life jacket for dogs – which is currently classed as a safety product – and studied how owners can be encouraged to use the product, while simultaneously optimizing its form and function.

The world we live in is increasingly complex, and daily decision-making has become more difficult. Industrial design is a field that can help to simplify and improve these choices by accounting for the unique lifestyles and needs of different people.

My interest in people and how they behave is one of the reasons why I enjoy my role as a designer. Combining color, design, function and communication, together with an understanding for the needs of different people and accounting for them in different projects is a constantly complex but rewarding challenge.
