More and more people are being moved into open-plan offices without really liking them, and many feel insecure and are easily disturbed. How can furniture make people feel better in an open-plan office? Our aim is to find the positive attributes of offices and reinforce them. We wish to increase creativity by using a playful collection, whilst simultaneously increasing security by providing the opportunity to make the workplace personal. The furniture must show a new way of working – more secure, more playful and more personal.
Together we started the design group Smånsk 2007. Smånsk creates furniture both for serial production and for galleries, and has exhibited at the Furniture Fair in Milan and the Liljevalchs Spring Salon in Stockholm. |
