Year of birth: 1981 Place of birth: Stockholm Space and water have been inspirations for my work. I want to create a feeling in my textiles similar to the one I think I get from a pitch-black, starry sky and from my fascination for water, which can assume numerous different guises – somewhat magical and playful. I’m interested in how you can change moods in rooms and how you can work on textiles that are flexible in several ways. Use of textiles is an easy way to create spatial solutions, e.g. for office complexes. You may need to work in peace or screen yourself off for a meeting and want to create new rooms within the room. The idea behind my textiles is that they change with the aid of light. Some of them are luminous in the dark, and some reflect light differently when you illuminate using artificial light. They can be used as curtains and sun protection, and can also change a glass frontage at night when they luminesce. |
