Every meeting between two threads or thread systems creates important information and implies a choice that is purely aesthetic but also conceptually significant for the appearance of the work. I like to work with optical effects, and richly contrasting colors and materials that strengthen the effect and choice surrounding why two thread systems meet in a particular way. I am inspired by time, calendars and sundials, and want to create mathematical works of art from the philosophical themes that affect us all.
